Designed for servers, point-of-sale, routers, switches, hubs, and other network devices, the Smart-UPS X Battery Backup & Surge Protector with SmartConnect from APC has a 2 RU form factor and delivers intelligent and efficient network power protection from entry level to scalable runtime. It can provide up to 5.2 minutes of use when running a full load of 1350W and up to 14.5 minutes of use when running a half load of 675W

This Smart-UPS X features an output of 1350W / 1500 VA, a nominal input of 120V @ 50/60 Hz ±3 Hz, and an input voltage range of 82-143V that may be adjusted to 75-154V, eight NEMA 5-15R battery backup outlets, an 8.01' NEMA 5-15P input connection, a surge energy rating of 645 joules, line interactive topology, and a sine waveform output. Included PowerChute Network Shutdown management software helps to provide unattended, yet proper shutdowns of network operating systems, and also included is an Ethernet cable, rack-mounting hardware, rack-mounting support rails, removable support feet, an RS-232 cable, and a USB cable.

The APC SmartConnect ports allow the run time of this unit to be extended. When using five SMX48RMBP2U external battery packs, this UPS can last for over 2 hours at 1200W. You'll also be able to view the status of your UPS through a secure web portal. Through this remote management interface, you'll receive automatic notifications, firmware updates, and advanced support.

Reliable Battery Backup
Single-Computer Runtime: This UPS system will support an energy-efficient desktop computer and LCD monitor (75 W load) for up to 55 minutes during an outage.
Half-Load Runtime: This UPS system will support a 50% load (405 W) for up to 7.5 minutes.
Optimized Outlet Array: Five outlets have both battery backup and surge/noise protection, and five have surge/noise protection without battery backup. The "surge-only" outlets allow you to connect additional equipment without overloading the UPS or reducing the backup runtime available during an outage.

AVR and Surge/Noise Protection
In locations with chronic voltage problems, frequent switching to battery drains reserve power and shortens battery life. This UPS system has a feature called automatic voltage regulation (AVR) that solves the problem. The UPS detects when input voltage is out of bounds and corrects it without using the battery.
