Built to fit in modern workspaces, the ProDesk 400 G6 Small Form Factor Desktop Computer from HP is a small, reliable, and secure system with scalable performance that can grow with your business. It is powered by a 10th Gen 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5-10500 Six-Core processor that will allow you to run multiple applications simultaneously. If you need more power, the CPU can achieve speeds up to 4.5 GHz. The 8GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 RAM helps the computer to run multiple applications simultaneously, as well as access frequently used files and programs. The current memory configuration is one 8GB module with an additional slot available for memory upgrades, making for a total of two 288-pin DIMM slots. With both slots in use, this system supports 64GB of RAM to keep up with the current demands of the latest software programs.

For storage of your files, the ProDesk 400 G7 is equipped with a 512GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. If you want to connect with external storage drives or other peripherals, there are two 10 Gb/s USB Type-A ports, three 5 Gb/s USB Type-A ports, and four 480 Mb/s USB Type-A ports. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 chipset delivers a sharp, clear picture while allowing for a wide range of monitors to be used via its one DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 1.4 port. Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the Realtek ALC3205 codec outputs high-definition audio and delivers higher fidelity than standard audio controllers.

The ProDesk 400 G7 Small Form Factor Desktop Computer includes an HP Wired Desktop 320K keyboard, an HP USB optical mouse, a 6' power cord, and recovery media that is located on HP's OS download site. It operates using a 180W power supply that runs at 100~240 VAC and 50~60 Hz, and the installed operating system is Windows 10 Pro (64-bit).

Storage Expansion
This ProDesk 400 G7 has one M.2 2280/2230 slot and one SATA drive bay that can hold one 3.5" drive or, using an adapter, two 2.5" drives.

PCIe Expansion
This ProDesk 400 G7 has one PCIe 3.0 x16 slot and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot.

USB Type-A Connectivity
The system features two 10 Gb/s USB Type-A ports (front), three 5 Gb/s USB Type-A ports (rear,) and four 480 Mb/s USB Type-A ports (two front, two rear), each of which will allow you to connect peripherals such as hard drives, printers, and memory card readers.

Gigabit Ethernet
The system uses an Intel I210-T1 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet controller for internet access when connected to a router, modem, or network switch.

Wireless NIC
For those who wish to connect to their network wirelessly, there is an empty M.2 2230 PCIe x1 slot that supports separately-sold Wi-Fi and Bluetooth cards.

Audio
The front headset connector supports CTIA style headsets. Headset connectors are retaskable to function as a line-In, microphone-in, line-out, or headphone-out port. Rear audio input ports are retaskable as a line-in or microphone-in port. External speakers must be powered externally.

Multi-streaming can be enabled in the audio control panel to allow independent audio streams to be sent to/from the separate connectors or integrated speaker. This allows for different audio applications to use separate audio ports on the system. For example, the front connector could be used with a headset for a communications application while the rear connector is being used with external speakers and a multimedia application.

Windows 10
Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.

Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Microsoft Edge
