The Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) contains a battery which continues to power computers, monitors and other components if the electricity is cut from them. An LCD status display provides information including remaining battery life, load capacity, and event notices. The battery is hot-swappable and easy to replace. An audible alarm alerts you of events like power outage and low battery.

Safely shut down computer systems and guard connected equipment from surges with the Back-UPS Pro BR 1500VA Battery Backup & Surge Protector from APC. The UPS is armed with a total of ten NEMA 5-15R outlets, with six providing surge and backup power and four designed for surge protection only. In the event of a power outage, the UPS comes equipped with an internal battery that delivers up to 900W of power. The battery-powered outlets provide up to 5.4 minutes of use at full load and over 120 minutes at 50W. For electrical spikes, the UPS has a 1080-joule surge energy rating. Other notable connections include coax, USB, and Ethernet ports for safeguarding video and network signals. Included along with the backup UPS is the downloadable PowerChute software program to monitor energy usage and prevent data corruption by automatically saving files and shutting down a computer system.

Reliable Battery Backup
Single-Computer Runtime: This UPS system will support an energy-efficient desktop computer and LCD monitor (75 W load) for up to 55 minutes during an outage.
Half-Load Runtime: This UPS system will support a 50% load (405 W) for up to 7.5 minutes.
Optimized Outlet Array: Five outlets have both battery backup and surge/noise protection, and five have surge/noise protection without battery backup. The "surge-only" outlets allow you to connect additional equipment without overloading the UPS or reducing the backup runtime available during an outage.

AVR and Surge/Noise Protection
In locations with chronic voltage problems, frequent switching to battery drains reserve power and shortens battery life. This UPS system has a feature called automatic voltage regulation (AVR) that solves the problem. The UPS detects when input voltage is out of bounds and corrects it without using the battery.

All Tripp Lite UPS systems also include built-in surge protection and noise filtering to shield your equipment from destructive transient voltages and electromagnetic (EMI/RFI) line noise.

Data Line Surge Protection
